My professional work has long centred on legal costs, litigation funding and the practical realities of modern civil justice. More recently, like many lawyers, I found that artificial intelligence had ceased to be a remote technical subject and had become something much closer: a tool beginning to alter how professional work is done, how legal services are priced, how information is produced, and how judgment is tested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That led me to write Andrew and the Marvellous Analytical Engine<\/em>, a practical guide to artificial intelligence for lawyers and other thoughtful professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The purpose of the book, and of this site, is not to preach either enthusiasm or despair.
